  • ■General Information
This event is for players who believe that while everyone having fun is the foundation of Commander, if you are going to play, you should also play seriously and fight for the win.
The recommended power level for this event is around Bracket 4. Players who regularly enjoy high-powered Bracket 3 games, as well as players who usually play Bracket 5 but want to prioritize their favorite cards for the day, are all welcome to join this “Spicy” event.
That said, please remember that this is a Commander gathering, not a tournament. Helping support players who built a new deck specifically for this event is also part of the spirit of serious Commander play!

We also recommend the “Casual” event for players using preconstructed decks without modifications. While there can naturally be differences in deck strength, the goal of this event is to enjoy those differences as part of the experience.

Pods are normally 4 players, but may be adjusted to 3–5 players depending on attendance. A total of 2 games will be played, and pods will be reshuffled between rounds. Players may change decks between rounds.

For more information about Brackets, please see this article.

Each game lasts 60 minutes. If a game has not ended when time is called, play may continue for up to 3 additional minutes if the game is expected to conclude once the stack becomes empty. If the game still does not end, the player with the highest life total wins. If multiple players are tied for the highest life total, the player seated latest in turn order among them is the winner.

After each game, players at the table should decide the recipient of the “Moriage-happy award” for that game.

Registration is first come, first served. Entry will close once all seats for the currently running event are filled.
