■ Rules ■
(* Some rules will be changed from November 2024.)
* The event format will change depending on the number of participants.
* 8-16 players: After 4 rounds of Swiss, the top 4 will advance to the finals.
* 17 or more players: After 4 rounds of Swiss, the top 3-10 players from the Swiss rounds will advance to the SE. The top 2 players from the Swiss rounds will advance to the finals.
* The player in seat A will be the starting player, and turns will proceed clockwise.
* The time limit for each round is 60 minutes.
* If a winner is not determined within the time limit, the game continues until either the stack is empty or 3 minutes have passed. If a winner is still not determined, all players are considered to have lost.
* Rankings are determined by Commander Points.
* Points and win/loss results are kept secret until the end of the Swiss rounds.
* Four rounds will be played with random pairings, and rankings will be determined based on points.
* Commander Points
Each participant is initially awarded 1000 points. The loser of each match loses 7% of their points. The winner receives points equal to the total points lost by the losers.
As a correction for 3-player tables, the winner's points will be increased based on the assumption that there is a loser with the same points as the current lowest-ranked player. Points are rounded up to the nearest whole number.
* About the Final Round
* Only the winner of the first round of the final round advances to the next round (winner-take-all format).
* Turn order will follow the qualifying round rankings.
If a winner is not determined within the time limit, the game will continue until either the stack becomes empty or three minutes have passed. If a winner is still not determined, the player with the highest qualifying rank among the undefeated players will be declared the winner.
