■General Information
The Commander Box League is a new way to play Commander during the Prerelease period. Players open a Play Booster box (containing 30 packs) and build a 60-card Commander deck. Once you've registered, you can participate multiple times throughout the league, reconfiguring your deck for each match.
○ How to Participate
Purchase one Play Booster box at the store and come to the tournament counter during the registration hours listed above. *We recommend pre-ordering your Play Booster. Pre-order here!
○ Event Structure
Deck building begins after registering for the event. Once participants have completed their decks, they will be split into 4-player tables, with 3-5 players depending on the number of participants.
○ Commander Box League Construction Rules
Players will open a Play Booster box and build a 60-card Commander deck using the cards they obtain. Buy-a-Box promos and Commander promos cannot be added to decks.
Multiple copies of cards from Play Boosters can be used in a deck.
Cards from Play Boosters that can be used as commanders can be used.
Color identity building rules do not apply. Players can build decks with any color they like, regardless of the commander's color identity. Note: Commander color identity itself remains, so it applies to card effects that refer to color identity (such as Arcane Signet).
Buy-a-Box promos and Commander promos cannot be added to decks.
You can freely rearrange your deck using the cards you have obtained.
○ Subsequent Participation
Once you participate, you can participate multiple times during the event period. Games will begin as soon as all participants have finished deck building.
