The Commander Box League is a new way to play Commander during the Prerelease period. Open a Play Booster box (30 packs) and create a 60-card Commander deck.
Once you participate, you can participate multiple times during the league period using the deck you created.
Each time you play, you can reconstruct your deck using cards from the box you opened the first time you participated.
Let's have fun using all the cards you get!
How to Participate
Purchase one Play Booster box in-store and come to the tournament counter during the registration hours listed above.
Event Structure
Deck building time is 60 minutes.
Players will be divided into 4-player tables, with 3-5 players depending on the number of participants, for a total of two games.
Each game has a 60-minute time limit.
If the game is not finished within the allotted time, the game continues until the stack is empty or 10 minutes have passed. If the game still does not end, the player with the most life is declared the winner. If there are multiple players, the player seated furthest back is declared the winner.
If it appears the winner will not change by the time the stack is empty, the game will not continue and a winner will be determined.
Commander Box League Construction Rules
Players open Play Booster boxes and build Commander decks with the cards they obtain.

Deck construction must follow the following special rules:
- Create an exact 60-card deck.
- All cards from Play Booster boxes can be used in your deck.
- Multiple copies of cards from Play Boosters can be used in a deck.
- Color identity construction rules do not apply.
Players are not limited to the color identity of their commanders; they can build decks using cards of any color!
Note: Your commander's color identity will not be lost,
but it will be applied to card effects that refer to color identity (such as Arcane Signet).
Note: Purchase bonus promos and Commander promos cannot be added to decks.

Also, between games, you can freely rearrange your deck using the cards you obtain from opening Play Booster boxes.
○ Second or Subsequent Participation
Once you participate, you can participate multiple times during the event period. There will be a maximum of 60 minutes of deckbuilding time after the start date and time listed above. However, if all participants finish deckbuilding early, the first round will begin immediately, so please arrive early.
○ Late Participation
You can join up until the start of the second round. Please note that deckbuilding time may be shortened.
