The Commander Box League is a new way to play Commander during the Prerelease period. Players open a Play Booster box (containing 30 packs) and create a 60-card Commander deck. Once you've participated, you can participate multiple times throughout the league, reconfiguring your deck each time you play.
○How to Participate
Purchase one box of Play Boosters at the store and come to the tournament counter during the registration hours listed above. *We recommend pre-ordering your Play Boosters.

○Event Structure
Deck building time is 120 minutes. The standard format is four-player tables, with three to five players depending on the number of participants, for a total of one game.
○Commander Box League Construction Rules
Players open Play Booster boxes and build a 60-card Commander deck with the cards they obtain. Buy-a-Box promos and Commander promos cannot be added to decks.
Multiple copies of cards from Play Boosters can be used in a deck.
Cards from Play Boosters that can be used as commanders can be used.
Color identity construction rules do not apply. Players can build decks with any color they like, regardless of the color identity of their commander. Note: Commander color identity itself remains, so it applies to card effects that refer to color identity (such as Arcane Signet).
Buy-a-Box promos and Commander promos cannot be added to decks.
Players are free to build decks using the cards they obtain.
○ Participating for the second time or later
Once you participate, you can participate multiple times during the event period. There will be a maximum of 120 minutes of deck building time after the start date and time listed above, but if all participants finish building their decks early, the first round will begin immediately, so please arrive early.
