What is Magic Academy: Learn to Play?
Magic Academy: Learn to Play is the first of a two-part series that takes Welcome Decks and additional material support to create an awesome new player experience. Brand new players will learn how to play with a video demo then be paired up to play friendly games.
Experienced players can use this event as their opportunity to teach family and friends and help welcome the next generation of Magic players into the Gathering.
We will make every effort to provide this service to non-Japanese speakers, but in some cases we may not be able to do so, so we recommend that you inquire in advance or come in a group that includes experienced player.
Registration
Please come to the convention counter during the above registration hours if you wish to register on the day of the event. (*No reservations will be made for this event.)
For beginners

Minimum number of participants

The event will be held with a minimum of one participant. However, if there is only one participant, we may offer a beginner's trial session.
We accept participation outside of the above reception hours. If you wish to participate, please inquire with our staff at the store. Please note that we may not be able to accommodate your request depending on how crowded the event is on that day. If you are coming with a group of people, including experienced players, and do not need an explanation of how to play by our staff, we can hold the event at any time as long as we have rental cards in stock.
