■General Information
Commander Box League" is a new way to play Commander during the pre-release period. Open a Commander Booster Box (30 packs) and build a 60-card Commander deck. Once you participate, you can play multiple times during the event, and you can enjoy changing your deck for each match.
○ How to Participate
Purchase one Commander Booster Box at the store and come to the tournament counter during the registration time listed above.
○ Event Format
Deck building starts at 19:00, and the first round of matches will begin at 20:00. If you have already built your deck, please wait for the match schedule to be announced.
*If you leave the store, please return to the Kichijoji store by 20:00.
Deck building time is 60 minutes. We will have 4-player tables as a standard, but depending on the number of participants, we may have 3-5 player tables, and each player will play 2 games.
Each game has a 60-minute time limit. If the game is not finished within the time limit, continue playing until the stack is empty or 10 minutes have passed. If the game still isn't finished, the player with the most life wins. If there are multiple players with the most life, the player with the lowest seat number wins. If it seems unlikely that the winner will change before the stack is empty, please decide the winner without continuing the game.
○ Commander Box League Deck Building Rules
Players open a Commander Booster Box and build a 60-card Commander deck using the cards they receive. Box purchase promo cards and Commander promo cards cannot be added to the deck.
You can include multiple copies of the same card from the Commander Booster in your deck.
You can use any Commander card that appears in the Commander Booster.
The color identity rules do not apply. Players are not limited to the color identity of their Commander and can build their deck with any colors they like. Note: The commander's inherent color identity does not disappear, so it still applies to the effects of cards that reference the inherent color identity (such as "Arcane Signet").
Example: If your commander's inherent color identity is only blue, and you build a 60-card deck using both blue and black cards.
Box purchase bonus promos and Commander promos cannot be added to your deck.
You can freely modify your deck within the range of cards you have obtained.
○ Subsequent Participation
Once you participate, you can participate multiple times during the event period. The first round of matches is scheduled to begin around 8 PM.
○ Mid-Event Participation
You can join the event even after it has started, but before the second round begins. Please note that this may result in less time for deck building
