  • ■General Information

    The “Commander Box League” is a new way to enjoy Commander, held during the Prerelease period. Open a Play Booster box (30 packs) and build a 60-card Commander deck. Once you've joined, you can participate multiple times throughout the period and enjoy rebuilding your deck for each match.

    How to Join
    Please purchase one Play Booster box at the store and come to the tournament counter during the registration time above. *We recommend reserving your Play Booster box in advance. Reserve here!

    Event Structure
    You will have 60 minutes for deck construction. The default seating is four players per table, but depending on attendance, tables may be set for 3 to 5 players. Each event consists of two games.
    Each game has a 60-minute time limit. If the game doesn't end within the time limit, it will continue until the stack is empty or 10 minutes pass—whichever comes first. If still unresolved, the player with the highest life total wins. In case of a tie, the rearmost seated player among them is the winner. If it is clear that the winner will not change before the stack clears, determine the winner without continuing.

    Commander Box League Deck Construction Rules
    After players open their Play Booster box, they construct a 60-card Commander deck from the contents. Buy-a-Box and Commander promos may not be used in deck building.

    Decks may include multiple copies of cards opened from the Play Booster.
    Any legal commander opened is allowed.
    Color identity rules in deck building are ignored; players may build decks with any colors they want, regardless of their commander's color identity. Note: commander color identity still applies when cards refer to color identity (for example, with Arcane Signet).
    Players may adjust their decks between games using cards from their Play Booster box.

    Rejoining After Your First Entry
    Once you join, you may rejoin the league as many times as you like during the event period. After the event begin, there will be up to 60 minutes for deck building. If all participants finish early, Round 1 may begin ahead of schedule, so please arrive promptly.

    Late Entry
    You may join late as long as it is before the start of Round 2. Please note that your deck-building time may be shortened.
